Let your guest place their orders on their smartphone through QR code on the table

Do you want to avoid your customers queuing up to order?

With Octotable you can print the QR codes of each table (or workstation) and allow your customers to order and, if you want, even pay the bill directly from their smartphone.

Let's see how it works!

1. Place the QR CODES on the tables

Access the  DINING AREA section and click on the green pencil ✏️ 

Next to the item Tables you will find the Print QR code button of the tables 🖨️

By clicking on the indicated button you can download a PDF with all the QR codes of each table created in the room.

Cut out the codes and place them on the respective table or workstation.

 

2. The customer scans the QR Code and what does he see?

a) The customer has NOT booked the table before

The customer who has not previously made an online reservation and sits at the table, scans the QR code and will see this screen on his smartphone (click here to access the video)

You can then optionally enter your data, insert special requests and then access the digital menu to send the order.

b) the customer has booked the table

The customer who has previously booked the table online and then arrives at the venue by scanning the QR of the table will see this screen (click here to access the video).

He can then identify himself with the email or telephone number and access the digital menu to send the order.

3. The customer sent the order to the kitchen, now what?

Now in the kitchen (by accessing OctoTable on a tablet or computer) you can access the Reservations > Orders page or click on the airplane icon on the top bar to access the list of orders sent.

All the orders sent are updated in real time, at the top you will find the most recent and descending the oldest. >>Click here<< to access a quick tour of the Orders page and discover all the functions available on this page.
 

4. And how does payment work?

With OctoTable you can connect your Paypal account and/or your Stripe account (our partner for credit card management, for more info click here). To activate the connection, simply go to Advanced Settings > Advances/Collections and then enter your account data.

-If you want the customer to pay online before sending the order, you need to access the Advanced Settings page > Advances/Receipts and under Request payment before sending an order, set Yes

-If you want to allow the customer to pay later, you can enter the booking details from your smartphone and show the payment QR code under the order summary (click here)
