Automatic WhatsApp Messages

Do you want to send automatic WhatsApp messages to your customers for confirmed, pending, or cancelled reservations?

Activate the WhatsApp feature on OctoTable (only available with the EVO version) and instantly communicate with your customers.

How to activate automatic WhatsApp messages:

Go to Advanced Settings > Connections

At the top center, youโ€™ll find the button โ€œEnable WhatsApp Messages.โ€

Click Enable and Save.

Where to find the templates

After activation, go to Configuration > Automatic Email/SMS to find 5 new templates with the WhatsApp icon next to them.

๐Ÿ“ฒ When are the messages sent?

Messages are automatically sent to the final customer in the following cases:

  • Confirmed reservation
    Sent when a new reservation is made and immediately confirmed.

  • Waiting list reservation
    Sent when a reservation is added to the waiting list.

  • Waiting list reservation confirmed
    Sent when the restaurant confirms a previously pending reservation.

  • Reservation declined
    Sent when the restaurant declines a pending reservation.

  • Reservation cancelled
    Sent when either the restaurant or the customer cancels the reservation.


โš ๏ธ Important Notes

  • WhatsApp templates cannot be edited

  • Messages are sent automatically by OctoTable to the customer, just like SMS
