What is the booking for multiple dates?

The booking for multiple dates is the new OctoTable tool that allows you to receive bookings for several days!

This function can be useful if you accept reservations for several days in your restaurant, if you have a hotel with a restaurant and you want the guest to be able to have a table booked for several days, if you manage a Beach Club and want to ensure the reservation of the sunbed for several days. The customer can select the period he prefers and view its availability.

He will enter the days and times he wants to come every day.

How to activate the booking for multiple dates?

Go to Configuration> General settings and under Activate multiple date reservations choose Yes

As soon as you choose YES you will find another option below Show availability only if all dates are available, if you choose No the system will propose an alternative time to the customer, who can accept it or delete it by clicking on the bin icon and keep the other dates.

If you choose Yes it means that if even only one of the dates is not available, then the whole period will not be available and this message will be shown:

How can I ask for an advanced payment for this kind of booking?

You can request an advance payment for bookings over several days, and ensure the collection of a deposit (or the entire reservation) to guarantee the reservation.

If you already have activated the booking for multiple dates as explained above (Configuration> General settings), by entering each service (Configuration> Services) you can request an advance payment which will only be valid for bookings with multiple dates (it will not be added to the amount of the advance payments for single days).

On this screen you can choose the payment settings:

  1. enter the number of days from which you request prepayment (for example if you request payment only for bookings of 7 days or more, enter 7)

  2. enter the amount to pay to confirm the reservation

  3. choose whether the payment is to be paid per booking (Off) or if you need to add the amount for the number of people who book (On)

  4. enter a description that further explains the type of payment required

How do I receive the booking for multiple dates?

As soon as the customer confirms the reservation for multiple dates, the system will create a reservation for each date booked. Both you and the customer will receive a notification (if you have configured it in the Configuration> Email / SMS Template section) for each booking.

In the Dashboard you will find the booking with this icon:

Which will make you understand that this is a group of reservations.

Even entering the details of the reservation you will have the indication that it is a group booking for several dates:

How to search and cancel reservations for multiple dates?
In order to search for a group booking, simply enter one of the bookings with the icon we showed you earlier and take the group code shown in the image above. And you will see all other linked bookings:

In order cancel the group booking just click on the red x to delete the booking you are viewing. If you want to delete the entire group of reservations then click on the arrow next to it and choose the option you prefer:
