Use the check-out to free up tables !

A customer stays in your restaurant less than the average meal duration and you don't want to waste the opportunity to allow another customer to reserve?

Use OctoTable's check-in & check-out to free up the table both on the reservation page and on Reserve with Google.

The procedure is simple:
1) Register the customer as arrived
You can check-in the customer as arrived from different sections:

  • Dashboard

  • Reservation details

  • Reservations > Table bookings

  • Map

Click on the blue tick that appears next to the booking to check-in the customer

2) Record the customer's departure
From the same sections mentioned above, you will have the possibility to register the customer's departure.
When you tick the customer as having arrived, the tick will change from blue to green, so you will know that the customer has been registered correctly.

To check out the customer and thus allow that customer's table to be made bookable again online, simply click on the green icon (previously blue), and register the customer's departure

The icon in question will change from green to grey and you will know that you have registered the customer's departure.

The table of the customer in question will become bookable again before the end of the time set in Services > Opening Times > Average Meal Duration.

The system will check the settings entered under Services > Opening Times, and if the requirements are met, it will make the specific table bookable again.

โš ๏ธ If after you have checked in a reservation. you change the time of the reservation or move the reservation on the planning, the system will take into account the check-in or check-out made the first time.
