Credit card as reservation guarantee!

Tired of No-shows? Solve the problem with the Credit Card Guarantee feature

OctoTable platform follows international credit card security standards and uses an external solution to protect and secure your customers' credit card data.
With OctoTable you can enable the Payment Manager to display the credit card data of your guests.

The process is structured as follows:ย 

A) Registration on Complior

To set up credit card acceptance, you must create an account with our partner, Complior.

Go to Advanced settings > Deposits/Payments section to find the following window:ย 

In the Credit card administrator's name enter the owner's or the administrator's name, and fill in the remaining fields with the information required.
Then click on Register.ย 

You will receive an e-mail at your given e-mail address, and a text message on your phone with a PIN code for creating your Complior account.ย 

In the email, you'll find a link redirecting you to the Compilor webpage to complete your account configuration.ย 
You need to enter the code you received via SMS and create a new code made of 8 numbers that you need to memorize.
It is possible to enable/disable the credit card guarantee and decide whether or not to accept credit cards from your customers.

B) After completing the registration on Complior, a new tab (Credit Card Guarantee) will appear in Configuration > Services/Opening hours.ย 
The penalty for a no-show or late cancellation will be advised at the time of booking to customers.
In the Credit Card Guarantee section of the corresponding service, select ON/YES and enter the amount that the customer will see when booking, which you will be able to debit in the event of a no-show.

You will be able to describe how you will charge the customer a certain amount and you will be able to automatically translate this into the available languages.that the customer will see when booking and that you will be able to charge him/her in the case of a No Show.

C) Card processing

During the booking process, a screen will appear for the customer to enter their credit card details.

NB: During the payment process, the card number is checked to ensure it is a valid card number. Valid means that it passes the composition checks. As with the tax code, the system checks that the card number entered is possibly real; however, it does not check whether the card has a balance and/or is active.

C) Card data handling:

At this point, a new section will appear in the Customer's Booking Details, and the credit card details will be blacked out for security reasons.

To see the credit card details, click on the eye iconย 

Clicking on it redirects you to this section.

Remember the PIN you created when registering with Complior?ย 
Now is the time to use it to see the card details.ย 

ATTENTION: This is a one-time process, you can view the credit card CVV ONLY ONCE. After the first viewing, the CVV is deleted and no longer visible, making it difficult to complete the charge.

You will be able to charge the set amount using a Payment Gateway (such as Stripe or Syspay), where you can enter the customer's credit card details and proceed to charge the convened amount. ย 

The system retains the customer's card details for 3 days after the reservation, after which you will no longer be able to charge the penalty.ย
