Access the Configuration > Services/Opening hours section and click on the pencil corresponding to the service in which you want to apply the function.
Under Limit the number of bookable covers choose YES.
A tab will appear allowing you to decide whether to limit the number of place settings per time slot or per service.
After choosing how you want to limit the number of place settings, you will have to enter the maximum number of places you accept per time slot or per service
The system will automatically check the maximum number of covers available in the rooms associated with this service and will block the reservation when the maximum limit set by you is reached.
For example, if the total capacity of the area associated with this service is 50 seats but you enter 25 in this box, in each time slot (which you can find under the heading "Which times to show on the booking form?"),
you will only be able to receive a maximum of 25 seats. Once 25 seats have been booked, any customer attempting to make a reservation for that time slot will be prompted to select another available time slot.
Taking the same example of a service that has one or more rooms with a capacity of 50 covers, you can limit the number of covers for the entire service. So if you want the system to be able to book a maximum of 40 covers for the entire service, select Limit covers for entire service and enter the number 40 under Maximum number of covers. Once this number of booked customers has been reached, the system will prevent bookings for the rest of the service.
It is possible to limit the number of place settings only for online reservations.
This means that the system will only take into account the number of place settings that have been received from the online bookings.
Example: I set the limit of place settings per time slot to 6, restricting it to online reservations only.
If I make a manual reservation at 12 p.m. for 4 people , I will still have 6 place settings available for online bookings for the 12 p.m. time slot.
