How to activate Reserve with Google?

The article explains how to activate the Reserve with Google service on OctoTable, which allows you to receive direct bookings without commission through the world's most used search engine. It describes the necessary requirements, such as an active Google My Business account and proper configuration of services and rooms on OctoTable. After completing the integration, the Reserve a Table button will be visible on Google.

✅ Requirements

To use the Reserve with Google service, first verify that you meet all the necessary requirements.

You must have an active Google My Business account linked to the business listed on OctoTable (to create one now, follow the instructions by clicking on this link).

On your OctoTable account (if you don't have one yet, click here to create a new account for free), you need to:

  • Enter the following details in the Restaurant Profile > General Information section: name of the establishment, address, postal code, city, country, latitude, longitude, email, phone number with international prefix, e.g. +39

  • Configure at least one available service in the Configuration > Services and hours section.

    IMPORTANT: To connect to Google, your services should not have overlapping hours.

  • Configure at least one seating area with at least one bookable table in the Configuration > Seating areas/tables section.

▶️ Activate "Book with Google" button

Once you have verified that you meet all the necessary requirements, go to the Reserve with Google section:

If you forget to enter any information, the system will remind you with a yellow warning.

If everything is correct, no banner will appear below the Reserve with Google section, and you will be able to complete the integration by setting the Enable button to Yes and saving.

The Reserve a Table button will be available on your Google My Business profile 24 hours after activation on OctoTable.

The customer searching for your establishment on Google or Maps will find you in the search results and can click on the Reserve a Table button.

By clicking on Reserve a Table, they will submit the booking by filling out the Google form directly.
