How to activate Reserve with Google?

Reserve with Google allows you to get direct reservations without commission fees from the most used search engine in the world!

Customers who research your restaurant on Google or Google Maps will see this page with the RESERVE A TABLE button.

Clicking on Reserve a table will send the reservation once the Google form has been filled in. To use the Reserve with Google service, first check that you meet all the necessary requirements:

  • you must have an active Google My Business account connected to your OctoTable account (if you want to create one now, follow the instructions by clicking on this link).

  • on your OctoTable account (if you don't have one yet, click on this link to create a free account) you must:

  • have entered the following data in the Restaurant > General information section: property name, address, post code, city, country, latitude, longitude, email, telephone number (with international prefix e.g. +44)

  • set up at least 1 service available (in Configuration > Services section)

PLEASE NOTE: in order to connect to Google, your services must not have overlapping schedules.

  • set up at least 1 dining area with at least 1 bookable table in the Configuration > Dining rooms/Areas section.

Now that you have checked that you have all the necessary requirements, you can go to the Reserve with Google section:

If you have forgotten to enter any information, the system will remind it to you with a yellow warning:

Otherwise, if everything is correct, no banner will appear under the Enable button and you can complete the integration by clicking Yes and saving.

The 'Book a Table' button will be available on your Google My Business profile in the following 24 hours.
